LAHORE-

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday submitted a resolution in the Punjab Assembly secretariat in condemnation of Altaf Hussain’s comments that urged the national armed forces not to follow any ‘anti-state orders’ of the government, a private news channel reported.

The resolution stated that Hussain’s remarks could incite anarchy in the country.

On March 18, the MQM chief addressed a rally organised to celebrate 30th foundation day of the party.
In his address, Hussain said that if the government ordered the military to send its troops to any country then the Pakistan Army should not follow the orders.

He was apparently speaking in reference to the reported shift in government’s policy over Syria in the aftermath of $1.5 billion ‘friendly donation by Saudi Arabia.’

The MQM leader also warned the government not to incite sectarian divide in the county by following the ‘policies of others’.
