Laura Robson will miss the Indian Wells Masters as she nurses her injured wrist back to fitness.
Britain’s Robson, 20, has been out since her first-round Australian Open defeat to Kirsten Flipkens.
It was later revealed that she had suffered a flare-up of the wrist problem that ruined her winter schedule, but she had been expected to return to action in California.
“I’m happy to report that I continue to progress with my wrist,” Robson said on Facebook.
“But I’m still not ready to compete at the highest levels so I won’t be playing in Indian Wells.”
