Army major martyred, 3 militants killed in cross fire

Pakistan army major was martyred in a cross fire when militants attacked a military vehicle near Peshawar on Tuesday.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) the exchange of fire broke when unidentified militants attacked a military vehicle near Frontier region close to Afghan border.

As a result of which, Major Jahanzaib suffered bullet injuries and succumbed to his wounds.

The army retaliated and killed three militants the military’s media wing said.

This is the second attack on security forces personnel in the last 24 hours.

An attack on a security forces check-post in South Wazirstan tribal region killed one soldier late Monday night.

    • These militants are the biggest blasphemers and enemies of Islam, they are defacing a religion of compassion and justice to a cruel, unjust and murderous way of life. We reject them.

  2. Major Jahanzaib was killed doing his duty. No man can be called on to do more.
    These TTP savages are invoking a demand for Sharia to confuse the enemy (us) when they obviously do not have a glimmer of understanding for love, compassion and obedience to a higher cause. They do not understand the religion they profess to fight for.
    Without the spirit of universal justice, compassion for fellow creatures and love for mankind underlying it any legal system can be perverted to an ugly unjust and wicked set of rules.
    They are not open to reason. These guys have to be subdued, disarmed or simply exterminated.
