Indian State Minister for External Affairs Preneet Kaur on Thursday said that India was committed to resolving all outstanding issues with Pakistan, through a peaceful bilateral dialogue in an environment free from violence and terror.
To a question in Lok Sabha, she said that it has also been conveyed to Pakistan that a successful conclusion of the investigation and trial relating to those involved in the Mumbai attacks would be a major confidence-building measure.
Kaur said, in the meeting of the commerce ministers of both countries on January 18 in New Delhi on the sidelines of the 5th SAARC Business Leaders Conclave, both ministers reaffirmed the commitment to establish normal trading relations and in this context to provide Non-Discriminatory Market Access (NDMA), on a reciprocal basis.
They decided to intensify and accelerate the process of trade normalisation, liberalisation and facilitation and to implement the agreed measures before the end of February.
