Supreme Court has restored membership of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) MPA Ziaur Rahman on Monday morning.
A three judge bench headed by Chief Justice Tassaduq Hussain took up the case, challenging Election Tribunal’s decision to suspend Ziaur Rahman’s membership in fake degree case.
The bench admitted all petitions filed by Ziaur Rahman, and restored his provincial assembly membership.
It is pertinent to mention here that Ziaur Rahman was elected MPA from PK-54, Mansehra, but his membership was suspended by ET after his degree was challenged by the rival candidate.
