Finally, it feels that the ice between Pakistan government and outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has started melting. As on Saturday, the TTP spokesman Shahidullah Shahid, in a telephonic conversation with a private news channel, said that the Taliban were ready for meaningful dialogue.

The TTP spokesman said Taliban were ready for talks, however, the government should show its power and sincerity.

Here it is important to note that on Friday night former spokesperson of TTP Ehsanullah Ehsan while talking to another news channel not only accepted responsibility of an attack on a journalists’ vehicle but also demanded that the media should give equal coverage to their activities. He also warned Pakistani media from propagating against them. The attack killed three media personnel from a private news group.

The statement came hours after their bomb attack on military convoy left 24 security personnel dead in Bannu town of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to reports, Ehsanullah Ehsan, issued a letter to media persons, claiming responsibility for the attack.

  1. True! The media never talk of wot’s happening in north waziristan, how many innocent people and children are killed by drones. Think what their reaction would be and wors qrong if ttp wants Shariah Law. After all we r all Muslims. I am not in favour of anyone, I am just speaking on behalf of every innocwnt people. Wots happening in Balochistan, nobody cares bcos punjab is safe. Media shows karachi mostly n unfortunayely KPKn Balochistan r the most neglected provinces for Pak Govt especially For Shareef’s. Thanks to Imran Khan, who’s launching new schemes in KPK.

  2. The TTP threatens the media and murders people for revenge that had nothing to do with any incident…they are barbarians not honorable men…and the government is showing that they are not courageous enough to stop them…shame on the cowards who cannot stand up to these terrorists…negotiation with terrorists will not bring peace.. It will produce a stronger group of murders…
