Three policemen, including a station house officer (SHO), were injured on Thursday when a remote-controlled bomb struck a police van in Shangla.
According to the police, Besham police station’s van was patrolling the area when a remote-controlled explosion occurred as it reached Chakesar. Subsequently, three policemen, including SHO Sher Hussain Khan, sustained injuries.
Police sources said the bomb was detonated through a remote control.
The injured persons were immediately shifted to a local hospital. Their condition was reported to be out of danger.
Meanwhile, police personnel cordoned off the scene and started a search operation.
