According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by GallupPakistan, 64% Pakistanis say gas should be supplied to industries; 35% say supply should be for vehicles.
A nationally representative sample of men and women, from across the four provinces was asked “Some people think that gas should not be supplied to vehicles (private cars, buses etc.) rather be given to industries. What is your opinion on this?” Responding to this, 64% said gas should be supplied to industries, 35% said it should be given to vehicles and 1% did not respond.
The study was released by Gilani Foundation and carried out by GallupPakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2557 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during December 23 – December 30, 2013. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
