He is fondly referred to as the Greek God of Indian cinema thanks to his chiseled physique and windswept good looks, he is Hrithik Roshan. Hrithik, who made his Bollywood debut as a child actor in the 1986 film Bhagwan Dada and then debuting as the lead actor in the 2000 film Kaho Naa…

With multiple hits under his belt and his most recent film Krrish 3 creating a stir at the box-office; Hrithik is one of the hottest stars in the industry.

As Hrithik Roshan turns 40 today (January 10), his father filmmaker and one-time actor Rakesh Roshan turns emotional saying, “My wife and I want Hrithik to be happy and at peace with himself, no matter what. “He is still the same hard-working boy who wraps his omlette in a newspaper and rushes to his shooting in the morning. That kind of dedication is very rare. Any director including me is lucky to have him on board.

The proud father has enjoyed Hrithik’s films outside the family banner, “I liked his performance immensely in Jodha-Akbar, Agneepath, Guzaarish  and specially Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara where he had to play a normal regular guy. That’s really difficult to do. He  never lets us feel like a superstar was playing that role.”

Getting emotional Rakesh says, “He can work with other directors. But I’d never work with any other actor, unless I am making an out-and-out heroine-oriented film like Khoon Bhari Maang. I might be tempted to make a film with a female protagonist. But only  if Hrithik is too busy to work with me.
