Senate Chairman and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Nayyar Hussain Bukhari on Friday said that there is no provision in the constitution that allows a citizen from minority group to become the prime minister of Pakistan.

Talking to reporters at Sukkur airport, he, however, said that there were amendments made in the article 238 and 239 of the constitution that could pave way for a minority citizen to become the PM.

Nayyar Hussain Bukhari also said that Benazir Bhutto was a great leader of the region who launched historic struggle of the 20th and 21st century for the sake and promotion of democracy.
