Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre is organising its 12th International Cancer Symposium from November 29 to December 1 at Pearl Continental Hotel. The symposium’s theme this year is “Fighting Cancer on all Fronts” and it will stand out as an example for providing quality medical education free of cost without encroachment from pharmaceutical companies. Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust Board of Governors Chairman Imran Khan will be the chief guest on this occasion. The symposium will provide an international forum for oncologists and allied specialties to present and discuss the latest research results, ideas and developments in all areas of cancer care. This year scientific sessions will focus on breast, gastrointestinal, urological, gynecological, lung, head and neck, hematological, neurological and pediatric malignancies. In addition there will be sessions on pathology, palliative care, medical imaging, medical physics, basic research, bioethics, medico-legal cases and nursing. Workshops in pediatric oncology and pathology will also be part of this year’s program.
