NADRA submits NA-128 rigging case forensic report to Tribunal

The National Data Base and Registration Authority (NADRA) on Friday submitted its forensic report to Election Tribunal Lahore in the rigging case in NA-128’s election.

NADRA said in the report that counter files for 125,192 votes could not be confirmed.

Election Tribunal Lahore Head Rasheed Qamar was hearing the NA-128 rigging case during which NADRA officials submitted their forensic report.

According to the report, 8,593 votes were cast on fake identity cards, while 479 votes registered in other constituencies were cast in NA-128.

The report further said that 67,386 votes had been confirmed by NADRA, out of which 349 voters cast double votes, while voters’ thumb impressions were not present on 690 counter files.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s defeated candidate Karamat Khokhar had filed the electoral petition against PML-N MNA Afzal Khokhar over rigging in NA-128 polls.
