A former independent candidate of National Assembly (NA-5), Malik Gul Zali Khan has filed a petition in Islamabad High Court (IHC), for the cancellation of the political status of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

On Monday, the petitioner argued in a filing writ that PTI is working against its manifesto and therefore, its political status should be cancelled.

Petitioner said, manifesto of PTI was to eliminate the corrupt elements and corrupt practices from the country but, it has included such persons in their party who are not fulfilling the criteria of article 62 and 63 of the constitution.

He argued in the petition that criminal court proceedings should be initiated against the chairman of PTI Imran Khan because he is educating his children from Jews, while here in Pakistan he tries to spark the anti Jew and anti American sentiment.

The petitioner also said that chairman PTI spent billions of rupees on advertisements for his publicity in the months of January, February and March of current year; he should be questioned about this amount.
