The Rangers and police continued with their joint operations in various areas of Karachi on Wednesday.
Several suspected criminals were arrested during the overnight targeted operations in Korangi and Mehmoodabad.
Police and the rangers conducted a joint operation in Korangi’s Zaman Town and arrested at least five suspects during a house-to-house search.
The arrested suspects have been shifted to some undisclosed location for interrogations.
Meantime, police also arrested nine culprits in an operation in different areas of Mehmoodabad. Police claimed that a proclaimed offender is also among the arrested.
Too many people have lost their lives to indiscriminate killings in the city, and the need of the hour is to send a stern message to the criminals. The law and order must preside in order to restore peace in the city. We stand by the government of Pakistan and fully support their efforts to negate the threat of violence. We hope to see peace prevail throughout the city. It is simply in our best interest to see a safe and secure Pakistan. Our forces are fighting the terrorists on both sides of the border, and we hope to remain unified in regards to our peace objectives in the region.
