On Monday, an anti-terrorism court extended the physical remand of Hammad Adil for another three days in the Shahbaz Bhatti murder case. The accused, Hammad Adil has confessed that his accomplices, Tanvir Abdul Sattar and Abdullah were involved in killing of the former minister for minorities. He said that they monitored the entire situation outside Shahbaz Bhatti’s residence on March 1, 2011. The accused further stated that the next day that he intercepted the minister’s car while Abdul Sattar and Abdullah opened fire on his vehicle. He revealed that he met both suspects in Wana and received training there. The Federal Minister for Minorities, Shahbaz Bhatti had been assassinated in broad daylight on March 2, 2011, in an ambush in Sector I-8/3 area of the capital.
