This is to bring to your notice, as discussed with you in a meeting yesterday, that Punjab University has some reservation on some content of the editorial published on September 13, 2013.
The editorial reads in the end of second paragraph that “As the report was not denied by the University management, it raises serious questions regarding the quality administration”
Dear sir, it is to bring into your kind notice that Punjab University spokesman on the very next day had contradicted the content of the news report, probably of daily Jang, which has been cited in the editorial. (A copy of our version released on September 07, which was published in daily Jang and other newspapers on September 08 had been delivered to you for ready reference).
It is pertinent to mention here that the incumbent administration had taken a firm stand against Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) and it was this administration that for the first time had closed down their office setups in hostels and academic area of the campus. Continuing this trend, the Annual Book Fair, which was earlier organised by the IJT, is now organised by the administration itself. The Jamiat no more stronger now as they were in the past.
It is hereby requested that our clarification may kindly be accommodated in the editorial of your daily in a way you deem appropriate because Pakistan Today is an important English language newspaper and we may kindly be compensated in this regard.
