The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) on Sunday foiled a bid to smuggle heroin worth hundreds of thousands of rupees at the Lahore Airport.
According to ANF sources, the luggage of a passenger identified as Javed Aslam (who was leaving for Dubai through a private airline flight) was searched on suspicion.
During the search heroin worth more than a million rupees, hidden in the soles of shoes, was recovered.
The ANF personnel arrested the accused who hailed from Gujrat’s Lala Musa. During the preliminary interrogation, the accused revealed that he was to travel to Barcelona via Dubai.
