DSP Mumtaz Ali Shah gunned down in Karachi

A police officer was killed when unknown assailants opened fire in the Model Colony area of Karachi on Saturday.

According to police, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mumtaz Ali Shah was leaving for work when two unknown armed attackers opened fire on him in Model Colony, near his house.

He was rushed to hospital but the injuries proved to be fatal and he passed away before reaching the hospital.

Police told that DSP Mumtaz Ali Shah was deployed at the Landhi jail.

    • If by one political party you mean MQM then that party hasbeen creating unrest for too long now in the name of "Mojajir-Ism". That party has tortured and killed scores of people in the past two decades and its head has been enjoying protection from UK for too long now. It is about time that the teeth of this party are taken out for good. I never liked Benazir Bhutto's policies but the one thing I always agreed with was the operation clean up which was initiated by General Nasirullah Babar. This pascist party thinks that it is above the law. All of its leadership is comprised of thugs, looters and murderers. I sincerely hope that the current operation from Rangers celans up the filth that this party has brough in the City of Lights.

  2. In order to succeed in deweaponizing KHI, it is essential that the ministry of port is taken away from MQM, otherwise, weapons will keep flowing into KHI.
