Chief commissioner tells CDA to get its act together

  • Directs to expedite work on long overdue development projects in federal capital

Islamabad Chief Commissioner Jawad Paul has directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to expedite work on development projects of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration being executed by CDA.

He was chairing a meeting to review the progress of the on-going projects and addressed issues being faced in their implementation.

CDA Project Director Ayaz Khan, while briefing the meeting said that the construction of IG Block in the premises of ICT Administration Block in Sector G-11/4 was 50 per cent complete. He informed that Rs 30 million have been spent on the project so far and revised PC-1 is under process. “It will be completed in February 2014 and the office of Inspector General Police would be shifted to its own block as Rs 10 million will be available during this year,” he added.

The participants were apprised that 72 per cent construction work on 15 houses for SPs in Sector H-11 has been completed. Construction of six houses is complete while three houses are 95 per cent complete and another 6 houses are 40 per cent complete.

Similarly, construction of Tarnol Police Station has been completed at a cost of Rs 7,78,210, whereas construction of 4 police barracks in Sector G-9 is 90 per cent complete and those in Sector G-10 has been completed and handed over to the police. An amount of Rs 80.871 million has been spent on the project. Additionally, two police barracks in Sector H-11 and MT Shed has been completed. PC-1 of the project was approved at Rs 62.152 million. Construction of boundry wall of police lines in H-11 has been completed approved at cost of Rs 90.59 million and revised PC-1 of the project is still under process.

Moreover, construction of watch tower is 85 per cent complete while construction of eight gates of boundary wall are complete and remaining civil work will be completed by September 2013. PC-1 of the project was approved at Rs117.50 million.

The chief commissioner directed the officials to ensure timely completion of all pending projects. The meeting was attended by senior police officials including ICT Director Development and Finance Rana Akbar Hayat.

Yes M paul has directed how to get the best out of pockets….the way he devised and followed systems of taking bribe…it should be followed by CDA too…he doesnt realize this that not all are trained from early age from home as yourself sir.
