More countrywide rain likely from Monday to Wednesday

Widespread rain with scattered heavy downpour is likely in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Kashmir from Monday to Wednesday.

According to the Met Office, a seasonal low lies over northwest Balochistan and the adjoining areas.

A low pressure zone has developed over central parts of India (north Madhya Pradesh) which is likely to move northwest in the next 12-24 hours.

The low pressure zone is likely to persist over north India during the next three to four days.

Strong monsoon currents are expected to enter northeast Pakistan (upper Punjab and Kashmir) from today.

Also, a fresh wave of western disturbances is likely to grip upper parts of the country on Monday.

Rain and thunderstorms are likely at isolated places in Multan and Bahawalpur divisions in the next 24 hours.

Heavy rain is also expected in upper KP (Malakand, Hazara and Peshawar divisions) in next 24 hours.

Mainly hot, humid and partly cloudy weather is expected over most parts of Sindh and Balochistan.

However, rain with thunderstorm is likely at isolated places of Mirpur Khas, Sukkur, Quetta, Zhob, Sibbi and Kallat divisions in next 24 hours.

Isolated heavy rain is expected in Kashmir while partly cloudy to cloudy weather with chances of rain and thunderstorm at isolated places is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan in next 24 hours.
