A man stabbed to death his real sister for honour at Hanjerwal late on Saturday night. The police have arrested the accused.
Sajda Bibi was married sometime back and had two daughters. four months back her husband divorced her due to continued domestic problems and she thus returned to her parents house.
According to details, her brother Riaz hailing from Hanjerwal had suspicion about Sajda’s character.
He repeatedly told her to mend her ways but she did not pay any heed and allegedly left the house with a man named Mansoor some three days earlier.
Riaz took his sister back to home and stabbed her to death with sharp edged weapon to avenge the ‘dishonour’ his family had faced.
On the neighbour’s information the police reached the scene and arrested the accused who was in possession of the murder weapon.
Her body was shifted to the mortuary for postmortem.
