Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said the duration of load shedding had been considerably reduced due to the government’s measures.
He said this while speaking at the signing ceremony of four Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between the Punjab government and the Chinese Harbour Company in Lahore.
Shahbaz said that under these MoU’s the Chinese company would help in setting up a power generation plant at Gwadar and layout a new transmission line for the supply of new electricity. He said that the company would also lay a LNG pipeline.
Shahbaz added that China would also help in setting up a coal-run power project with a capacity of 12 megawatts.
