Provincial Minister for Zakat and Ushr Malik Nadeem Kamran said that an amount of Rs 40.94 million had been released for payment of two months salaries to the Zakat paid staff so that they could celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr in a befitting manner.
He expressed these views while presiding over a special meeting held in connection with releasing amount for salaries to Zakat paid staff and Eid grant for Zakat deserving people on Tuesday.
The minister disclosed that an amount of Rs 200.42 million as Eid grant had reached in the accounts of chairmen of all district Zakat committees of the province. He said that instructions had been issued to all district Zakat officers and district Zakat committees’ chairmen to distribute the amount among deserving persons before Ramadan 20.
He warned that strict action would be taken for not distributing amount on time or showing any negligence in this regard.
Secretary Zakat and Ushr Jehanzeb Khan, Zakat Administrator Muhammad Yousaf Butt, Zakat Deputy Administrator (Field) Rana Muhammad Sajjad Babar and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
