Competition to memorise Surah Noor held

Jashan e Nazul e Quran being organised by Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) and Khaana e Farhang Iran held a competition among female students for the memorisation of Surah Noor from the Holy Quran.

Aqeela Khatoon and Dr Saud Nageen were the judges at the event.

A large number of students from the twin cities participated in the competition. The first five winners were awarded cash prizes. Visitors admired the unique Islamic art on display by different artisans. Islamic books, posters and gifts were also distributed among the visitors.

Moreover, Mehfil e qirat was also organised where Qari Muhammad Akbar Naeemi and Qari Muhammad Farooq recited verses from the Holy Quran.

Khaana e Farhang Iran Director General Muhammad Akbari addressed the participants and threw light on the importance of Ramadan. RAC Resident Director Waqar Ahmed was also present on the occasion.
