LDA demolishes nine illegal buildings

In an operation against illegal constructions and the violation of building by-laws by constructors, Lahore Development Authority (LDA)’s Town Planning Wing has demolished nine illegal structures and sealed off another two.
In Johar Town, the LDA staff demolished the illegally covered front portion of plot No 965-R-I, which was supposed to have been kept open as a precondition to constructing houses there.
Structures at plots No 1165 Block Q, 1165-C Block Q and 820 Block Q were also demolished, as they had been set up without getting LDA approval of the building plans. Illegally constructed double bat rooms at plot No 136 and No 137 of R Block were also razed.
In Allama Iqbal Town, the LDA staff demolished an illegally constructed commercial construction at plot No 321 of Huma Block.
Illegal commercial alterations at plot No 6 Gulshan Block and 35 Kareem Block were sealed. Two illegal shops on the second floor of plot No 15 Kashmir Block were also demolished during the operation.
LDA POSTINGS: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General (DG) Ahad Khan Cheema has ordered the posting and transfer of officers of various cadres within the LDA with immediate effect.
According to a notification issued here, the DG has entrusted the post of Deputy Director to two officers. The first is the Revenue Directorate’s Assistant Director (Accounts), Bisma Asif, who has been assigned Deputy Director in the Revenue Directorate. The post of Deputy Director (Accounts-III) for the Finance Directorate has been given to the Finance Directorate’s Assistant Director (Accounts-III), Rizwan Shoukat.
The Directorate of Recovery’s Assistant Director (General Cadre), Mudasar Majeed, has been transferred and posted to the Directorate of Record Management.
The Revenue Directorate’s Assistant Director (Accounts), Faisal Anjum, has also been transferred and is now posted as the Finance Directorate’s Assistant Director (Accounts-III).
The Assistant Director (Town Planning) Rana Tahir Mahmood has been reinstated into service and his services have been placed at the disposal of LDA’s Chief Town Planner for further adjustment.

  1. What nonsense?These building owners must have been in the opposition.OK fine.Now what about those LDA Emloyees including DG during whose tenure these unapproved structures came up? They are equally involved in the crime and MUST be punished heavily as they must have received heavy gratification.
