Nomination papers in respect of 22 candidates for by-polls of National Assembly (NA) seat in NA 48 have been accepted.
Media reports said the Returning Officer has accepted nomination papers of 22 candidates including Anjum Aqeel, Zafar Ali Shah and Siddiq ul Farooq of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), Faisal Sakhi Butt of Pakistan People’s Party and Asad Omar of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf in connection with by polls for the seat of national assembly in NA-48.
The returning officer has directed Hanif Abbasi who had participated in general elections on PML-N ticket to submit fresh papers with the returning officer.
Scrutiny process of nomination papers of the candidates will continue on Sunday.
