The Airport Security Force (ASF) on Monday foiled a bid to smuggle one kilogram of heroin to Muscat at Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA).
According to ASF sources, the Custom officials during search of a man hailing from Mardan recovered heroin from his shoes, custom made for the purpose.
He was arrested by ASF and handed over to the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF). The ANF has started interrogation from the detainee about his gang and criminal activities. It was also revealed during the preliminary interrogation that the accused also had 20 heroin capsules in his stomach.
The recovered heroin is worth millions of rupees in the international market.
BROTHEL RAID
Rawalpindi police raided a brothel and nabbed 4 girls and 3 boys.
Pirwadhai police acting on a tip-off raided the area of Gali Loharah where reportedly a woman Zahra was involved in the obscene business.
Four girls Nazia, Maria, Shazia and Salma while three boys Irfan, Javed, and Malik Arshad were caught red handed and were arrested.
A case has been registered against them and investigation started.
MURREE SCHOOL VAN ACCIDENT:
At least 12 girl students were injured on Monday when a school van skidded off road and plunged into a ravine.
According to details, the van was on its way to school when it overturned and fell into a roadside ravine Chirya Chowk of New Murree. Twelve students sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital by local people.
According to hospital sources, the condition of three injured girls was critical and they were being given treatment in Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital.
BODY FOUND:
A dead body of a middle-aged woman was found from the precincts of Golra Police Station near the shrine of Baba Khushi.
According to Police, Muhammad Sarfraz lodged a complaint that his mother Gujjar Bibi (40) was working in a house situated in a posh area at Sector G-13. She was missing from two days.
Police told him that a dead body of a woman, with two bullet wounds to the chest was recovered from near the shrine some two days before. The cause of the killing has yet to be ascertained.
The SHO said that it is suspected that the woman might have witnessed a criminal activity and became the victim of unprovoked firing.
However, a case has been registered and investigation started.
