A photography exhibition depicting the glory of sunset by Mona Fazal, a new Multan based artist, is being showcased at Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) and is a real feast for art lovers.
The exhibition, entitled”Beauty of Imagination,” is classified as both a fantasy and realistic scenario. It was inaugurated by Member of the National Assembly Tahira Aurangzeb, who was joined by Naheed Manzoor and Waqar Ahmed, the Resident Director of RAC.
The exhibition is a collection of 53 photographs that Mona has taken over the last five years in various popular locations around Multan. The display illustrates scenic beauty, the shades of evening, and captures feelings of calmness and hope that cleanse the mind and soul. Mona loves nature and presents literature through the lens.
After the inaugural ceremony, Aurangzeb commented that Fazal has tried to stop time to appreciate priceless and masterful pieces of art. She said that the artist’s approach towards theme is constant and evoke the same feelings in the viewer. She said they make it seem like everything is going to be normalized with the passage of time.
Naheed Manzoor congratulated Mona on conducting her first solo exhibition and launching her career from Rawalpindi Arts Council. The Resident Director also said that RAC is working for the promotion of arts and culture through such exhibitions and events. The show is open until July 4.
