The Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Ministry’s Workers Welfare Fund (WWF) on Saturday decided to allocate 80 percent of scholarships for workers’ children in a high level meeting presided over by Federal Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Minister Pir Syed Sadaruddin Shah Rashidi.

Other decisions taken during the meeting included consulting the prime minister and finance minister for achieving development projects’ funds, speeding up ongoing welfare projects all over the country.

Further, it was also decided that a list of all the deputationists in the organisation would be made, following the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s orders to formulate an effective monitoring system in regions where Workers Welfare Boards are providing welfare activities to labourers. The need for effective progress in education, housing and health sector for workers was also stressed.
