The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Wednesday submitted an adjournment motion in the Senate against load shedding and inhuman treatment of police with the power protesters in Faisalabad.
The motion was moved by Senator Tahir Mashhadi. It also said that attempts to stop supply of 650MW of electricity to the KESC would further worsen the situation. The MQM leader said the government should take steps to ease the sufferings of the people.
Unfortunately, the worst of load shedding is yet to come. The electrical grid and the generating equipment need replacements and repairs that takes time and money, added to these problems, there is acute shortage of fuel. Bad news every where, result of years of neglect .
