Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior member Fauzia Kasuri on Tuesday quit the party over not being nominated to the National Assembly (NA) on reserved seats for women.
Per reports, Kulsoom Nawaz Sharif contacted Kasuri and made her an offer to join PML-N’s women’s wing, according to sources close to the PML-N.
Sources said Kulsoom discussed the portfolio being offered to Kasuri during their talk.
One of the central figures of PTI and a close associate of Imran Khan, Kasuri has previously served as PTI women’s wing president and a liaison person for the party’s overseas chapters.
With PTI winning six reserved seats – four in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and two in Punjab – Kasuri was dejected not to have been named on any.
With many sacrifices for PTI including surrendering her dual-nationality, there has been evident friction between Kasuri and PTI.
In her opinion, it all started when “compromised people” were given a chance to join the party. Though she said she understood the dynamics of any political party and the fact that people have to be taken on board, she felt “parties must stick to their ideology”.
She said her colleagues’ apathy and Khan’s silence gave her signals that she was not needed anymore, since no one had contacted her or replied to her emails.
A trap is set by the lion she will be eaten alive never to rise above Kalsoom Nawaz.

When the entire PTI supporters and workers RESPECT Mrs. Kasuri, why on earth she is shouting for 'Recognition' of her efforts and dedication?? We all acknowledge her as genuine PTI leader. But does this mean she can and will challenge the decision of the Party Leader for personal gains??? Seat or no seat, she could remain the mainstay of the party, a great leader, a heartbeat of PTI supporters all over the country. But IF she leaves party for personal issues, IF she objects to the decisions of Party Leader and IF she joins any other party, she is bound to be called a very dedicated, hardworking "OPPORTUNIST" who wanted personal benefits in the end, which she didn't get. Stop.

The departure of Fauzia is a colossal loss for the PTI. I am as disgusted today as I was when Shireen Mazari was ignored and shunted out. IK has to reconsider this resignation. Chances are he wont.
Inshallah Imran bhai will listen to PTI workers not to vice of chairman ,president or asad umer.We pti worker do not want to lose the mother of PTI at any cost.Communication and discussion are the, Best solution for any confusion,IMRAN BHAI must call her, listen to her greviances and reservations,and MUST request her, TO not QUIT,This is the, one of the BEST quality of a Leader,, like IMRAN BHAI.I hope our leader will Inshallah do it for US.ameen.
My suggestion to Imran Khan is donot loss old sincere friend for fair weather new friend who have not been yet. She supported your cause and had been workings hard for it for tIhe last 16 years. Fouzia Kasuri deserve better than the way she is treated by the party.
Imran Khan is giving has only one response; calling it a "senseless controversy" in his twitter response. He is giving priority to Ms. Mazari and Ayla Malik like personalities now; who can leave PTI any time because one is very proud of her Phd and other has a credit to be grand daughter of Nawab of Kala Bagh.
PTI leadership must do something to stop Fauzia leaving PTI.

I do not believe the news she accepted N League offer. She might have quit the party as there was no response from IK to her emails. there was a tweet from IK and a warning to her to keep silent. This warning was very different from the praise IK had when Mazari left the party. The latter had joined PTI just a few years ago and directly attacked IK openly. Kausuri had stayed very dignified.
The issue should be creatively solved. It does not look so.
We all love IK and will stay with him. It is sad that he has some serious limitations when it come to organizational matters.

Well its her decision may have problems but having loyalty & want something in return is not an attractive gesture,surrendering nationality or any other act like this is her personal nothing to do with party,its time jackals & foxes are around & looking for opportunist one thing should we all bare in mind people come & go no one is indispensable so is she if she was after a seat she must leave it will be a good decision for both nothing will happen though its a loss but its good to sustain now than later.As she was holding respectable position in party she should have contacted the right person by making statements on public media can only spoil

I don't understand the thinking of Imran Khan regarding the Fozia Kasuri. She is devoted and founder member of PTI. if she leave the party, Imran Khan will never found devoted members.

What is PTI? Moderate elites (mostly women) who raised funds for Shaukat Khanum Hospital and were associated with Khan rather than his political ideology. Not sure if these moderate elites voted for an individual, argument, slogan or ideology on May 11th. Fauzia Kasuri was one them and very soon rest of them will leave PTI
Rest of PTI – Ex-members of Islamist parties including Dr. Arif Alvi, Ejaz Chaudhry (defected to PTI in 2007 after being with JI for 35-years and is son-in-law of Mian Tufail – Emir of JI), Mehmood-ur-Rasheed (defected to PTI during 2000 after being an Islamist for decades) and Azam Khan Swati. These will become true face of PTI during next 5-years
Asad Umar is however an exception and was PTI Campaign Manager – He carefully marketed an Islamist and socially conservative image of PTI in KPK but projected a softer image among moderate urbanites. He is the only PTI leader who makes sense – Otherwise, PTI is good-looking Jamaat-e-Islami
It is not good thing shown by the Kasuri. She joined PTI just for seat. She suits with other than PTI. There is no place for such people who fights for seat of NA.
Please be pragmatic – Why would someone sacrifice his / her US Citizenship? Or donate more than US$ 1000 (PKR 100,000) to a political party. Just in the name of "Naya Pakistan"!!! Without expecting anything in return. I request young INSAFians to grow-up

At times – I am baffled. Generation-Y INSAFians live in which world. In their view, leaving US Citizenship and contributing US$10,000.00 or more towards PTI campaign without expecting anything in return is patriotism and loyalty – Such things do not happen anywhere on Earth
How PTI got tens of Millions of Dollars within a small timeframe? From expat Pakistanis? Most Pakistanis living in Middle East are lower-middle or working class who cannot even afford to visit Pakistan once a year. 95% of upper-middle class (professional) Pakistanis in US, Canada, UK and Europe cannot save more than $500.00 per month after paying mortgage, credit card and other debts, utilities etc. There are very few Pakistanis in US, UK & Canada who belong to Capitalist Class (CEOs, Doctors, business magnates etc) who can contribute US$ 10,000.00 or more without expecting anything in return from PTI. Any expat Pakistani donating US$ 10,000.00 or more to a political campaign will never do that unless he will be assured of something in return. I am an expat Pakistani and I know these facts. PTI campaign was sponsored by someone who is already part of power corridors

Imran khan should have engaged Fauzia Kasuri in some other ways, offering her another position in the party rather than letting her go. She should not be dis heartened for not getting a seat as she holds greater power in pti than the other women who got the seats.
Member of NA should not mean anything. Fauzia has been representing PTI everywhere and should continue to do so, her time would have come, she could even become the party leader … who knows..

I feel disgusted at the way this genuinely brilliant lady, so dignified highly intelligent sophisticated and the best speaker (felt confident when she came on any panel) has been treated. Cant believe it…i think her elegance and sophistication is threatening certainpeople inthe party…without her it is a party of mediocres. I personally lost interest since.
