During a surprise visit to a police station, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah said the maintenance of law & order in Pakistan’s financial center was at the top of his things-to-do list.

“All the officers, from the superintended of police (SP) to the stationhouse officer (SHO), will be held responsible for target-killings in the jurisdiction of their police station” he added.

Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, along with provincial Information Minister Sharjeel Memon, paid a surprise visit to the Civil Hospital Karachi and Meethadar Police Station late on Friday night and reviewed their performance.

They inquired about the health of patients. Shah went to different wards of the hospital, met patients and asked them if they had any complaint against the staff.

On the occasion, the chief minister ordered immediate repairing of the broken air conditioners. He also talked to doctors and visited a police check-post set up outside the hospital.

Talking to a private news channel, the chief minister said he will revisit the hospital after a week to check if his orders were followed or not. He said that he will also pay similar visits in other parts of the province to review arrangements.

He said his first priority will be to maintain law and order, second health and third promotion of education.

During his visit to Meethadar Police Station, CM Sindh suspended the SHO for he was nowhere to be found in the stationhouse.
