Bogus voting

The country’s General Elections were held on 11 May, 2013 under a so-called neutral Election Commission. Justice Fakhruddin G Ahmed was head of the Election Commission who assured the nation that the elections would be free, fair and transparent.
But our good old politicians coupled with the establishment know how to manoeuvre elections to their benefit. All the so-called fool proof procedures vanished on the day of elections. The sanctity of ballot papers, ballot boxes and electoral rolls was torn into pieces. Some smart media men took the snaps or made videos of rigging at a few polling stations. After these illegal acts were committed, the most painful part was the jubilation and celebration of victory.
It was surprising that the Chief Justice who believes in judicial activism and has been taking suo motto notice of every wrong act in the country, has not bothered to watch the rigging videos/snaps and take Suo Moto notice so far. At least, he could order re-polling in all those constituencies where the bogus voting was shown to the public on the electronic media.
