The Rawalpindi court on Tuesday acquitted former President Pervez Musharraf’s spokesperson and All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) General Secretary Dr Muhammad Amjad in the violence against lawyers case.

Media reports said that Judge Rana Masood Akhtar was told by the police that the video received as evidence in the case showed that Dr Amjad was not present as he was in Lahore in those days.

Dr Amjad told the court that Pervez Musharraf would face all the cases against him in jail and he would not go abroad under any deal unless his bail plea was granted.

The police declared Dr Amjad innocent in the investigations and the court exonerated him for want of evidence.

  1. So why was he arrested if there wasn't any evidence and he was not even present there? All measures to disable and put roadblocks in the way of Musharraf. We all know now the false pretense of justice.
