The annual Intermediate exams under the Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE) started on Saturday.
RBISE Spokesman Arsalan Cheema said that foolproof arrangements were made for transparently and efficiently conducting the exams.
RBIS Examination Controller Dr. Arshad Ahmed Chatta told that the board established 176 examination centers in Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal districts for 60,604 students of which 25,837 were male and 34,866 female.
He said that special teams were formed for surprise checks on the examination centers and strict action would be taken against cheating.
Mobile phones, textbooks, test papers, calculators and other items which can help in an exam would not be allowed, he added.
Cheema informed that section 144 has also been imposed around examination centers and no unauthorized person would be allowed to enter the centers’ premises.
He added that students with any complaints could call the examination controller on 051-5450918 and 051-5450917 or fax on 051-5450912.
A special monitoring squad has also been constituted which would report to the relevant authorities daily.
