Commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui on Friday visited various centres selected for the HSC Annual Examinations 2013 of the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) which commenced on Thursday.
He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner South Mustafa Jamal Qazi.
The commissioner said on the occasion that the district administration had undertaken concrete measures for curbing the usage of unfair means in examinations.
He said that some 250,000 candidates were appearing in the metropolis in the HSC examinations of the BIEK.
He further stated that adequate steps have been taken to ensure security at the exam centres so that candidates would not face any difficulties during these crucial days.
He said that the deputy commissioners along with the officials of the BIEK were also visiting the examination centres to curb usage of unfair means and also to oversee the arrangements and facilities put in place by the administration.
Meanwhile, a senior faculty member of the DJ Government Science College, namely Prof Shahzad Muslim, informed the commissioner that owing to government’s intervention the electricity of the college had been restored and that the candidates were appearing in their examinations without facing any difficulty.
It is really important to make sure that everything is in order before the actual examination date, in this way we can avoid having certain problems or hassles during the examination.
