The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has so far received 152 applications pertaining to allegations of rigging in various constituencies and has ordered recounting in nine constituencies upon concerns shown by the candidates in their applications.
In view of the reports of rigging and allegations of bogus voting, the ECP is also mulling random verification of thumb impressions of the voters, the sources said. The decision on re-polling in NA-250 will be taken today (Friday).
Meanwhile, talking to reporters, ECP Secretary Ishtiak Ahmad rejected FAFEN’s report that stated that voter turnout at 49 polling stations was over 100 percent. He said 49 polling stations made 0.6 percent of the total polling stations established by the ECP on polling day. He said FAFEN reported 116 percent turnout in NA-6 but, “actually, the turnout in the constituency remained at 46 percent”.
However, he said the ECP would take action if any irregularity was found, adding that each presiding officer would be held responsible for each and every ballot paper. “The ECP has set up election tribunals which will decide the petitions within 120 days,” Ahmad said.
Meanwhile, the ECP completely withdrew ban on diversion of funds. On January 22, it had banned diversion of funds already allocated to various development projects in the country and the spending of funds so diverted stood frozen. The ECP had also banned all kind of recruitments in the ministries and government departments except recruitments by the public service commissions.
The decision was taken in view of the fact that mass recruitments and diversion of funds for the sake of development work in a particular constituency on the eve of general elections would substantially influence the results of the elections. “Now, the ECP has withdrawn ban of diversion of funds but ban on recruitment is still intact.”

For all bye elections/supplementary elections in future PTI should insist on posting of entire polling staff from Pak army including returning officers otherwise Elections will again be rigged in connivance with corrupt Election commissioners of Pakistan, corrupt Returning Officers who are from judiciary and will be facilitated by corrupt CJ of Pakistan Iftikhar Chaudhry known as Mr. Souo Motto. Pakistani nation cheated and its hopes crashed due to corrupt judiciary mean role in wrigging 2013 elections. PTI should insist of fixing of thumb impression available with NADRA on electoral rolls and polling agents should get photographs of these electoral rolls when a voter fixes his thumb impression at time of polling. This will facilitate comparison by using common sense or by local experts. Citizens of Pakistan may request United Nations Organization to conduct elections as Election Commission of Pakistan has failed to hold fair and transparent elections 2013 and Pakistan will be ruled by an illegal government based on bogus mandate.
2013 Elections in Punjab Province were rigged in connivance with Punjab Election commission member Riaz Kiani with help of corrupt Returning Officers who are from judiciary. This man better ashamed of himself as he has facilitated in stealing mandate of innocent citizens of Pakistan-punjab province and has favored PML-N candidates for monetary gains. Biometric Identification of thumb impression, obtained on electoral rolls is a hard evidence to prove wrigging and Riaz Kiani has not accepted checking of requests of PTI of electoral rolls for biometric identification of bogus votes. Pakistani nation cheated and its hopes crashed due to corrupt Riaz Kiani. Shame!
Cat out of bag. Najam sethi-cia agent helped PML-N in wrigging of elections 2013 in Punjab province. Now rewarded by illegally posting as chairman Pakistan cricket board. Mr. Suo motto-cj where are you !!
Blame the oldies why appoint people who were above the working age?
It was a designed and organized rigged elections but remember PML N will go the same way as PPP is gone Today Pakistani generation is changed and do understand how to protest and media is helping all. All those who were involved in rigging including ROs mus be taken to task.
