The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday disposed of a case against former president Pervez Musharraf regarding his “escape” from the court premises.
According to media reports, the deputy attorney general informed the court that under the directives of the court‚ a federal secretary was holding inquiry against the Islamabad IG. The IHC disposed of the case against the Islamabad IG.
During the course of the proceedings, the deputy attorney general assured the court that senior interior secretary Chaudhry Qamar Zaman had been tasked to conduct an enquiry against the Islamabad IG in the Musharraf escape case, and a report regarding the enquiry would be submitted soon.
After getting the assurance, the court disposed of the case.
