Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, chief of his faction of Jamait-e-Ulema Islam (JUI-F), on Thursday has demanded the removal of Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa before the May 11 elections.
The demand was made in a letter addressed to the Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G Ebrahim.
In his letter, Fazl-ur-Rehman alleged that President Asif Ali Zardari has given a task to Governor KPK for rigging in the province and therefore the governor should be changed.
He also complained that polling stations in FATA were designated at distant locations and it was not possible to reach polling stations without transport in several areas of FATA.
He demanded to set up polling stations at places used in the previous general elections.
