The Election Commission has declared Computerized National Identity Card mandatory for casting vote in the general elections.

A spokesman of the Commission said no person would be allowed to cast vote in the polling station without having original computerized national identity card. No other document including the copy of the CNIC‚ passport and driving license would be acceptable for casting vote.

In reply to a question‚ the spokesman said as per election laws‚ anyone having expired Computerized National Identity Cards can cast his/her vote.

He said the main purpose of the CNIC is the identification of the voter‚ which it would serve even after expiry.

  1. I lost my CNIC but have a Photo copy of the lost CNIC.Have FIR and application filed for replacement, which may I get after Election. What shall I do.

  2. Duty Letter given on 15-04-2013
While last date for postal ballot was in February 2013,
    What the hell is this?

They should have sent the letter before February or they must have given me a chance for postal balloting

It is a kind of pre-poll rigging
They chosen POs from a certain Party and sub-staff from the other Party, it will be a 1-5 ratio and this will make them not to cast votes
