Dr Magsi claims victory on Tando Allahyar seats

Leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Dr Rahila Gul Magsi and Dr Ifran Gul Magsi have already claimed victory on National and Provincial Assembly seats of Tando Allahyar district. Both the leaders maintained that besides the candidates of Jamaat Islami, JUI-F and Qaumi Awami Tehreek, independent candidate Aijaz Pitafi has also announced his retirement from the contest, thus clearing the way for them.
Addressing a news conference here at the press club, Rahila Gul Magsi, a candidate for NA-223 Tando Allahyar and PS-52 and Dr Irfan Gul Magsi, a candidate for PS-51, also claimed to have complete support of Azad Magsi Itehad in the area and vowed to make Tando Allahyar a strong fort of PML-N.
During the press conference, they also claimed to have won the support of different communities living in the area, while adding that the recently concluded successful public meeting of PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif had changed the political scenario of the district.
On the occasion, Dr Rahila said that she would retire from the contest for PS-52 in favour of a candidate who would be able to defeat Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate Sharjeel Inam Memon.
Dr Rahila, former nazim of Tando Allahyar District, pledged to make the place a model district by launching a series of development schemes as she had done in the past.
Furthermore, Dr Rahila and Dr Irfan alleged pre-poll rigging by a PPP candidate on NA-223 by using the influence of officers serving with different government departments.
Meanwhile, independent candidate for PS-52 Aijaz Pitafi announced retirement from the contest in favour of Dr Rahila.
The notables from different communities including Dr Akbar Lund, Raees Lakha Rind and Dr Qadir Mastoi also announced support for Dr Rahila and Dr Irfan.
