Funeral prayers of five victims of Thursday’s blast, including three belonging to the same family, were offered amid tears, gloom and tension here on Friday.
On Thursday night, six people were killed in a blast that occurred near the office of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) located in North Nazimabad’s locality Nusrat Bhutto Colony.
The blast was so fierce that the nearby buildings and shops were also damaged due to the impact while a car parked near the site of explosion was completely destroyed in the incident.
The bomb blast victims were identified as Bilal, Imran, Ayub, Aqeel and Aadil.
During the funeral prayers, strict security arrangements were put in place by law enforcing agencies (LEAs). Police, rangers’ and other personnel of LEAs were deployed around the area.
Meanwhile, a large number of people, including dignities and family members of the deceased, attended the funeral prayers of the blast victims.
