Don’t take it to heart- it’s only the law of the land

The ‘grief’ of former dictator’s house-arrest has not only affected ex-generals, but also some unusual suspects it seems. According to All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), a man named Kacho Nisar from Gilgit-Baltistan passed away due to a heart-attack after the shocking news of the arrest.

Nisar, 30, was following General Musharraf’s legal sega on his television from Basho village, a valley in Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B), when he suffered a heart attack.

APML claimed that the incident could not be immediately reported due to poor communication facilities in the village. “We were informed about the tragedy by the relatives of the deceased,” said Manzoor Yoltar, the chief organizer of APML.

As the news of Nisar’s death got out, APML’s regional leaders, including Muzaffar Parvi, Ali Arman and Ali Haider, paid a visit to Nisar’s house for condolences and to pay tribute.

“The former president is being humiliated and this is something Musharraf’s fans and lovers cannot endure,” said Yoltar.

General (r) Musharraf’s ‘plight’ is unique as he is the only Pakistani military ruler to be tried by civilian courts, for violation of the constitution amongst other things. Although the constitution is the law of the land in modern nation states, it has been regularly abrogated or put in abeyance by military strongmen in Pakistan, without suffering any consequences.

  2. Musharraf is going to go thru a lot of rough time.
He should check with ex president. Cinton and find out from him during Lewinsky ‘s scandle.
No body said life will be simple and smooth and with no stress. Basically it is a pay back time for Mr Musharraf.
How long it will last, no body knows.
