At least nine people were killed and several others were injured in a road accident in Bahalwalpur, police and witnesses said on Friday.
According to witnesses, the accident occurred when a bus turned turtle after hitting a roadside tree, killing at least nine passengers and injuring another 45.
The witnesses said the driver of the bust lost control as he tried to save a motorcyclist. The injured passengers were taken to Bahawal Victoria Hospital.
