Another Awami National Party leader came under attack as a remote controlled bomb exploded near his vehicle on Wednesday.
Local police said that the blast occurred at Sar-Dhari area of Charsadda when a local ANP leader, Farooq Khan was driving by in his vehicle. Farooq Khan was among three people injured in the attack. Farooq Khan is running the election campaign for party chief Asfandyar Wali.
Taliban militants have threatened to attack the election campaigns of ANP, MQM and PPP and Wednesday’s attack was the eighth on the ANP in recent days.
