In your column “Asma’s decision” you have fairly argued my decision on not appearing one-to-one against Ansar Abbasi. I want to clear a few things. First, CNBC did not tell me of the other guests at all. While Haider Waheed did say so on television – to my shock – he admitted later to me that he had never told me, neither did anyone else. Hopefully, he will clarify it. I have no problem in sitting with anyone who disagrees with me. I have been doing so since many decades, but I do not want to lend publicity to the people who start media campaigns in a distorted manner and vilification campaigns on social media against people who disagree with them.
Simply because a journalist can misuse his access to media does not give them the right to twist facts in order to persecute others who have a different point of view from them. Every society has such dangerous elements. They are, however, neither considered journalists nor are allowed to use media to project themselves with twisted facts. They are also not brought on a one-to-one basis against other people to give them an open opportunity to distort facts and publicise the same while trying to project themselves.

I thought this website was for facts about Pakistan, not some debate speech.
