Turkish plays in Pakistan

I would like to draw the attention of authorities concerned to the increasing Turkish plays in Pakistani channels.
Turkish plays are increasingly being telecast in Pakistan. For example, the dramas “Noor” and “Manahil aur Khalil.” However, the culture portrayed by these dramas does against Islamic culture. These dramas promise western culture. They advertise the use of drugs, drinking alcohol and wearing inappropriate clothing. I hope the government and related departments will take serious action against the telecast of these dramas.

  1. Mehwish has appealed to the concerned authorities to take action against the channels , which are showing Turkish dramas. I could not discern any concrete objection against these dramas, is she offended by the content of these plays or it does not appeal to her on cultural basis. Well is she has been offended what is shown in these dramas, then she should notice that all their plays are like that, and they richly show their own culture. we have no right to define the Turkish Culture according to our wishes.

None of the Islamic countries depict Islamic culture. She has negated the very definition of Culture itself. The Culture is based on Custms, tradition social norms, mores, language, religion and art of a particular country.
the Culture of Spain was entirely opposed to the rest of the Muslim Countries. Cordova and Gharnata depicted the moorish Culture. the culture can have some common traits, but they can never duplicate the same according to the wishes of cwetain individuals. We can not manufacture culture. It does not exist in void.

Turkey is part of the Europe, and as such it has predominant western culture , and the life style depicted in their dramas conform to their Cultural value

I think they wear western stle dresses in a natural way. This is what they wear in Turkey. We can not condemn their society for these things. More over dramas have entertainment value , and these plays are telecasted fpr their entertainment value

We can not regulate these plays and curb the freedom of Expression, What she is asking for is to censor these plays or take these off air. If they do such a thing, then millions of the people will lose an outlet that provides them cheap entertainment sitting in the lounge of their home.
