The Higher Education Commission (HEC) on Wednesday directed the University of Punjab to verify degrees of 89 former parliamentarians by Friday.
In a letter to the university, the commission said the process of verification of former MPs’ degrees should be completed by April 5.
The list included Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Javed Hashmi, Manzoor Watto, Mehreen Raja, Bilal Yasin, Qasim Zia, and Jamal Leghari.
It also carried names of Azeem Doltana and Shahbaz Bhatti, who were no longer alive.
