The matter regarding deciding the caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab has taken a new turn‚ as Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has directed Punjab Parliamentary Committee members belonging to PML-N to hold further negotiations for finalizing the name of provincial chief executive.
Earlier‚ members of the committee from both the government and the opposition sides had announced that no decision could be reached on the name of caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab.
They said the matter will be referred to the election Commission to decide.
However‚ according to latest developments‚ PML-N leadership has summoned 3 government members of the Committee‚ including Rana Sanaullah‚ Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman‚ and Iqbal Channar to Raiwind for consultations.
PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif will issue fresh directive to the members to decide the caretaker Chief Minister at the committee level instead of referring the matter to the Election Commission.
