Pakistanis get 100 tickets for Malaysia GP

Malaysia has become a prestige destination for business tourism and international world conferences. So much so, that the 15th anniversary of the Formula One Petronia’s Malaysia Grand Prix is being celebrated this year. This was said by Abu Bakar Mamat, Malaysian Consul in Karachi at a ceremony held to give away 100 complimentary Grand stand tickets to Pakistani enthusiasts.

Mr Mamat said in this respect three awareness campaigns had been launched inPakistan to highlight the event. The first is a radio campaign on FM89, the second is collaboration with a Pakistani travel agent and tour operator to popularise the event and third is a series of Mega Familiarisation events known as Mega Fam.Two round the trip tickets of Emirates airlines also presented by Mr.Khalid S.S.Bardan, Vice President Pakistan

Speaking after the tickets distribution ceremony, Malaysian Consul General Abu Bakar Mamat said the tourism industry is the third largest contributor to Malaysia’s foreign exchange earnings and earned it US $19.35 billion. He added that almost 80,000 Pakistanis were among the 25 million tourists who visited Malaysia. The Malaysian consul general concluded by stating Pakistan was a very important nation for his country and they enjoyed very close and cordial relations.
